Overview 

This project focuses on chemical safety in nail salons. This training module covers everything from how chemicals can enter the body to understanding the risks they pose, with a callout to the "toxic trio" found in many nail salon products. The goal is to equip nail salon owners and staff with the knowledge and tools to identify hazardous chemicals, recognize their health impacts, and implement best practices to keep everyone safe.

Problem and Solution

The challenge was to transform a traditional PowerPoint presentation found on the OSHA website about chemical hazards in nail salons into an interactive, engaging eLearning module. The original content was informative but lacked the interactivity needed to capture the attention of busy nail salon owners and staff. My goal was to take this important information—on chemical hazards, health risks, and best safety practices—and present it in a dynamic way that would not only educate but also keep learners actively engaged. By turning this presentation into an interactive learning experience, I attempted to make this content more accessible and understandable for the audience.

Development

The project was created in Articulate Storyline, using ElevenLabs Generative Voice AI for voice narration. This project enabled me to figure out variables, triggers, and layers to create interactive elements and design advanced quizzes with various question types (hotspot, drag-and-drop, etc.). I hope to expand my skillset on Articulate Storyline to develop more complex interactions and integrate JavaScript to extend functionality.
